Organ and Labyrinth - Tuesdays
Organ and Labyrinth is a new and exciting event takes place every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Begun May 2006, it focuses equally on music performed on our fine pipe organ, with occasional appearances of additional musicians. Our labyrinth is a meditative tool, whereby one is invited to walk on a traceable path that is placed on the floor of our sanctuary, while listening to music. The contemplative aspect of the experience is heightened by subdued lighting, much use of candles, and a variety of performed music, ranging from classical Baroque to vintage rock tunes. This program has elicited an enthusiastic letter to the Times Picayune and was recently the subject of a journalism project at TulaneUniversity.
*Sunday, January 1st @ 5 pm: Jo “Cool” Davis, popular New Orleans Gospel singer with guest James "Sugar Boy" Crowqford, popular R&B singer
