The weekly Organ and Labyrinth at Trinity is truly was out of the ordinary.  This innovative musical event let Albinas use the powerful sound of the organ to encourage meditation and prayer.

Organ and Labyrinth is an exciting event taking place every Tuesday at 6:00PM.  Started in May 2006,  it focused on both meditation and music performed on the fine pipe organ at the Trinity Episcopal Church, with occasional appearances of additional musicians.

The labyrinth is a meditative tool where one is invited to walk on a traceable path that is placed on the floor of the sanctuary while listening to music.

The contemplative aspect of the experience was heightened by subdued lighting, much use of candles, and a variety of performed music, ranging from classical Baroque to vintage rock tunes. This program has elicited an enthusiastic letter to the Times Picayune and was recently the subject of a journalism project at TulaneUniversity. If you would like to know more, call organist Albinas or Manon Prizgintas at (504) 670-2520 or
